Description
Maple sugar is a great replacement for white sugar. Whether you’re looking for an unprocessed sweetener or just want to add a subtle maple flavor, this is the sweetener for you.
Made from 100% Grade A Maple Syrup. Note – All maple sugar has a consistency similar to brown sugar. Small soft lumps may appear, simply apply light pressure and they should crumble. This is due to a small amount of required residual moisture, over dried maple sugar forms hard clump and should be avoided.
No chemical/organic herbicide/pesticides are used producing this sugar. The plastic jug is 100% BPA free and sealed for safety. No artificial flavors, preservatives or dyes. Gluten and dairy free.
- 100% pure, all natural, maple sugar
- Made in the USA from pure Grade A maple syrup
- Sustainably harvested from our Pennsylvania hardwood forests
- No chemicals, preservatives, artificial flavors, colors, or other additives
- Solar powered equipment and energy saving reverse osmosis/steam recapture systems keep our resource use to a minimum
- Family owned and operated by a half dozen people
- Nova maple sugar is not made with syrup blended from hundreds of questionable farms. It is not repacked by a large corporation that doesn’t even make its own syrup
Hi. I normally add maple syrup when making 10 lb batches of breakfast sausage. What ratio is the dehydrated/sugar to 1 cup maple syrup?
Hi Valerie,
We’ve had questions similar to yours in the past. Usually I share the following link to give you an idea of the ratio:

Hello, I’ve purchased your maple sugar before through Amazon but wanted to give you the business directly for my next purchase. However I have a few questions: Is there any point in the packaging process where the plastic containers are subjected to heat/the sugar is warm in the packaging? I have concerns about plastic for multiple reasons and am trying to avoid it wherever possible. Do you have any plans to move to more sustainable materials for your products? I would absolutely love to buy a big jar or bag of this maple sugar sans plastic.
I appreciate your time!
There is no point that the sugar containers are subjected to heat and they are not packed with sugar until it has been cooled completely. Unfortunately packaging our sugar in jars is too costly, first for the materials, and second to pay for heavier shipping.
That being said, we do have a sister brand that is organic where the sugar is packed in plastic ziplock type bags as opposed to hard plastic bottles. I will include the link below for you to take a look.

Is this sugar organic? I see that no chemicals are added, but are any chemicals/pesticides used on the trees from which the syrup is obtained?
Hi Holli,
This sugar is not certified organic, however there are no chemicals or pesticides used on the trees. If you require the certification, our sister brand Sapsquatch is certified organic by MOSA.

What do you use as an anti foaming agent when cooking the syrup? Thanks.
Hi William, we use ATMOS 300K, which is a plant-based defoaming agent.
