about how long is the shelf life and then how long after it’s refrigerated – and does it make a difference to the shelf life if you keep it in the freezer?

    • jake says:

Hi Tom, maple syrup should last indefinitely when sealed in or out of the refrigerator. After being opened it should last at least a year or two in the fridge, sometimes you may get several months left out but we always recommend refrigerating it. Not exactly sure on the freezer, we’ve never tried that

I’m not an expert on all things Maple syrup…, but I do freeze syrup in a home Fridge/freezer if I am not going to use it for a while. At zero degrees(F), it of course doesn’t actually freeze it just gets real thick so you have to warm it up. I would say the only downside may be that freezing and warming might encourage some sugar crystalization, although I can’t prove that. I’ve never had syrup around longer than maybe 2 years and in all reality I can’t say that for that period of time it’s worth freezing.

Does the syrup have to be refrigerated?

What service do you use to ship?

    • jake says:

Hi Ken, We typically use USPS when shipping but occasionally use UPS. We also sometimes use Amazon’s distribution network to drop ship our inventory if it makes sense, it’s often both faster/cheaper to have them deliver, they use various carriers. Do you require a certain service?

I’m wondering if you accept EBT cards for payment? We can buy directly from the market but I’m sure it cuts into your profit.
