We know it sounds cliche, but our team here at Nova Maple Syrup is like a family! We really do have a lot of fun together at work. The sugar shack regularly smells like maple but that delicious scent is also accompanied by the sounds of laughter.

What started 5 years ago with Jake and one other full time worker has now grown into 6 full time people. Hailee resigned from teaching in June of 2018 to join the business full time and in the past year we have welcomed two old friends and two new friends.

We are extremely lucky to have experienced continued growth in 2020, which is not only due to the hard work of our awesome employees, but also to the loyal customers we have met along the way.

We’ve partnered with our friends over at oilcreekbrewingco to swap some barrels for aging! They just filled this bourbon barrel from McLaughlin Distillery with their own smoked stout (10% ABV). Once it’s ready in a month or so we’ll age some syrup in it for ~6 months, then it will go right back to OCBC for an aged maple beer! Stay tuned

We have exciting news to share with you — we are now offering tours of our maple farm through AirBnB’s “Experiences” platform!

Tours last approximately one hour, and include walking around the grounds and sugar shack of the second largest maple farm in Crawford County, PA. You will get to learn about the whole process, from tree to pancakes, from the owners of the farm. Nova Maple Syrup has been producing syrup commercially since 2015. You will have the opportunity to sample all of our products as well as purchase them at the end of the tour.
