Early Season Bitcoin Sale

02/13/2016 | Posted by jake |

The last two years we sold around half of our 50 gallon maple syrup yield online with Bitcoin, and online digital currency growing in popularity, through Reddit (2014, 2015). This year we’re going to sell our first batch (350 gallons, 7x the entire production from last year) the same way! Below are this years prices, we were able to keep them the same as last years. Free priority mail shipping to the US! Unfortunately due to the weight it is not economical to ship to any other countries at this time. This syrup is Grade A Amber, lighter in color than last years due to our new evaporator, reverse osmosis, and filter press.

First Freeze Update

02/13/2016 | Posted by jake |

Wow, it’s been a crazy month! Mother nature decided that we were going to have an early start to the season despite the fact that we needed a couple more weeks to get everything totally ready. We worked through the days and nights (literally tapping with headlamps) and made 350 gallons of syrup, with another 50 or so ready to come out of the evaporator as soon as we get some more sap to push it through. We meant to post more pictures but haven’t had time, we’re finally now able to breath due to the cold weather but even now we’re working on our getting our custom bottles printed. Stay tuned for more!IMG_5213 copy

Full Swing

02/03/2016 | Posted by jake |

We’re finally full swing into the season now, over the last week and a half we’ve tapped 5500 out of 7500 trees and collected ~20,000 gallons of sap! We ran into a few hiccups getting the evaporator and reverse osmosis unit operating, but they’re working great now and we plan on boiling a second time tonight. We should have ~100 gallons worth of syrup in the tanks and another ~100 gallons worth of syrup currently in the evaporator, so it should be an exciting boil! Stay tuned for lots and lots of pictures when we get a free moment.
